A memorable summer vacation is made up of many things: good food, good company and, of course, good weather. But if there's one thing that makes a vacation truly special, it's enjoying the sun and beaches. And if you're staying at Campsite Baško Polje, that's exactly what you can do!
Our campsite is located on Makarska Riviera in Croatia—a Southern part of the country that's most proud of its most beautiful beaches in all of Croatia. The most iconic beach location is definitely in town called Brela, where most famous Croatian postcard photos are taken. We recommend exploring other nearby beach destinations such as Tučepi and Podgora.
EXPLORING THE NEARBY DESTINATIONS
Another activity to do outside the campsite includes exploring the other cities close to Makarska rivijera which are: Split and Trogir. Split is the center of Dalmatia and home of UNESCO protected Diocletian Palace—one of the best preserved monuments of Roman architecture in the world. Split is hiding many interesting shops, restaurants and cultural monuments which can be explored for days. Another close destination is town Trogir, located just an hour away from Makarska Rivijera and has some beautiful old architecture and cultural heritage that makes it worth checking out while visiting our campsite.
If you're looking for something even more exciting than just exploring towns nearby, head north and visit Krka National Park! This national park can be found in Šibenik-Knin County and features breathtaking waterfalls as well as gorgeous views along its hiking paths.
